**Summary:**
**Serves as the primary implementer for all major employee experience, engagement, and appreciation events for the MetroHealth System (MHS). Works closely with leadership to build comprehensive event plans, contract for, and manage large events and smaller scale initiatives. Develops and manages event timelines and budgets. Coordinates all event logistics including but not limited to event venues, vendors, registration, set-up, parking, security, audio/visual, food and beverage, decorations, entertainment/speakers, etc. Works with teams in the development of all communication efforts and supports the Volunteer Services team in tracking volunteers. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.**

Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
+ Minimum one-year of professional event planning experience in health care or business environment.
+ Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and proofreading skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in interacting with executive teams and large groups.
+ Must be flexible to work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends.
+ Strong problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
+ Experienced and enthusiastic take charge professional with the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and the political savvy to introduce, inspire and champion new ideas.
+ Exceptional customer service/relations skills along with the ability to comfortably interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
+ Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully with all levels of staff, external agencies/vendors, and the public.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
+ Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
Experience managing databases/CRM.
Previous health care experience.
History of volunteer experience and commitment to volunteerism.
Physical Demands:
May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Ability to read job related documents.
Ability to use computer.
