Position Summary / Career Interest:The Employee Health Manager leads the Employee Health team to promote the health and well-being of all health system staff by providing process oversight of health assessments, pre-boarding health screening, education, and immunizations, in addition to ensuring the appropriate response to workplace injuries and exposures.

This position ensures that the health system's workforce remains compliant with health regulations, workplace safety standards, and organizational health initiatives, all while fostering a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

Ensure all records are updated, accurate and compliant with appropriate policies and procedures.Oversee pre-boarding processes including the review and interpretation of drug screen results.Communicate and work in collaboration with appropriate teams such as Talent Acquisition and Occupational Health to ensure all pre-employment screening requirements are clearly communicated to candidates and are integrated into the onboarding process.Monitor employee health data to assess risks associated with workplace exposures, such as chemical, biological, ergonomic, and physical hazards.Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control, Environmental Health and Safety, and Occupational Health and Safety teams to identify and mitigate potential health risks in the workplace.Lead and/or participate in workplace safety audits and incident investigations, ensuring that exposure-related health concerns are documented and addressed promptly.Ensure proper reporting, handling, and documentation of any workplace injuries, illnesses, or exposures, and assist in developing corrective actions or safety improvements.Report, collaborate and educate on issues related to regulatory requirements.Responsible for the quality assurance of the clinical operations team by reporting statistics related to communicable diseases, and employee exposures.Ensure compliance with health system policies and regulatory requirements regarding immunization schedules, including the management of exemptions.Organize on-site immunization clinics and vaccination drives in collaboration with Occupational Health.Ensure compliance with health system policies and regulatory requirements regarding respiratory protection.Prepare and submit health-related reports as required internally or to external regulatory agencies, including immunization compliance, workplace exposure assessments, and injury/illness reports.Work closely with the HR Centers of Excellence to ensure smooth integration of health screening and wellness programs into the employee lifecycle.Review health and safety programs periodically and suggest improvements to enhance employee well-being and workplace safety.Stay up to date with the latest health regulations, workplace safety standards, and industry best practices.Support the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans related to health risks (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters).Maintain and update Employee Health policies and procedures as needed.Resolve escalated issues arising from day-to-day operations.Oversee external vendor contracts and relationships as needed.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Required Education and Experience

Bachelor Degree Nursing in Nursing in related field of study from an accredited college or university.3 or more years of nursing experience. Experience in an acute care setting preferred.2 or more years of leadership experience.


Preferred Education and Experience

2 or more years experience in employee health, public health, occupational health, or workplace safety.


Required Licensure and Certification

Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State - State Board of NursingBasic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)


Knowledge Requirements

Experience in healthcare settings or with health programs in large organizations preferred.Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and employees at all levels of the organization.Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and employee health records management system(s).Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
