Responsible for managing the employee health service functions of the organization. Ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures. May be responsible for administering employee physicals, injury related diagnoses, or other types of referrals according to OSHA regulations. May provide consultation regarding workers' compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 1-3 years experience in the field or in a related area. Requires license as a registered nurse. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
