Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a EMPLOYEE HEALTH SPECIALIST to join our HUMAN RESOURCES  team!

The Employee Health Specialist provides office reception and clerical support to the Employee Health and Wellness department. Responsible for daily administrative operations of the department including greeting employees, volunteers, visitors, answering and directing phone calls, scheduler, calendar management, data entry, compiling mailings, and supply ordering. Maintains strict employee confidentiality. Responsible for maintaining the confidential employee database and other employee related documents and forms in the appropriate employee management I.T. systems. Presents with a professional appearance in appropriate business attire. Follows office policy, maintains a clean work area, and provides and promotes a professional and pleasant atmosphere for employees, visitors, and department staff.

HOURS: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly

Experience/Qualifications

 Minimum of High School diploma. Associate Degree in Health or Business Administration preferred. Related experience will be considered in lieu of education. One to two years’ office assistant or related experience. One year in an Employee Health or Occupational Health setting preferred. Knowledge of healthcare administration principles and organizations policies and procedures, along with applied policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations. Proficient typing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Skill in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information. Possesses good written and verbal communication skills, ability to prioritize and coordinate work activities, and exercises initiative, problem solving and decision-making. Ability to work with frequent interruptions. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, staff and the public.
