Job Summary
In this role, you’ll oversee and manage the delivery of employee health and wellness services in partnership with vendors to promote optimal outcomes, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. You will serve as a liaison between the organization and third-party providers, ensuring that occupational health program(s) and services adhere to industry standards and promote best practices.
Essential Job Functions
+ Oversee and coordinate the work of external providers and internal partners delivering occupational health services, including but limited to pre-employment screenings, annual physicals, injury management (including the Workers’ Compensation), vaccinations, and wellness programs. Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contracts, service-level agreements, and organizational standards.
+ Evaluate and refine occupational health programs delivered by vendors to ensure alignment with organizational and employee health objectives.
+ Ensure all vendor-provided services comply with OSHA, ADA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance.
+ Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and external providers, facilitating seamless communication and service delivery.
+ Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to manage employee injuries and illnesses, ensuring timely care, appropriate referrals, and effective return-to-work processes.
+ Develop, review, and update organizational policies and procedures related to occupational health, integrating feedback from vendors and aligning with regulatory changes.
+ Monitor and analyze occupational health data provided by vendors to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership to inform decision-making.
+ Collaborate with vendors to identify areas for enhancing the quality and efficiency of occupational health services.
+ While this job description covers many aspects of the role, employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Provide staff with coaching, training and opportunities for growth to improve their skills. Treats staff fairly and consistently. Shares accountability when delegating and involves staff in setting their performance goals.
+ Governance: Ensures Hillside policies, procedures and all applicable governmental laws/regulations/guidelines are followed. Makes decisions and has authority to implement decisions in conjunction with the leadership structure of the given area of responsibility.
Education & Experience
+ Successful completion of an accredited Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Nursing Program required
+ Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience required
Special Requirements
+ Active, unrestricted RN license in NYS required.
+ Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) training within 60 days of hire and recertification annually.

+ Ability to effectively oversee and evaluate external providers, ensuring service quality, contract compliance, and alignment with organizational needs.
+ Working knowledge of OSHA, ADA, HIPAA, and other occupational health regulations, as well as industry standards for employee health and safety.
+ Proficiency in analyzing health and safety data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and support strategic decision-making.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate relationships with vendors, employees, and leadership. Strong ability to collaborate across departments and manage competing priorities.
+ Skilled at identifying and addressing workplace health risks and resolving complex issues related to employee health services in a proactive and effective manner.

+ Must be able to work a variable scheduling including evenings and weekends
+ The following physical demands are required:
+ Occasional sitting (up to 4 hours)
+ Occasional standing (up to 1 hour)
+ Occasional walking (up to 2.5 hours)
+ Occasional driving (up to 8 hours)
+ Continuous balancing (up to 8 hours)
+ Occasional balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching forward or down, reaching overhead, running, and twisting (up to 2.5 hours)
+ Weekly lifting up to 50 lbs. (community-based staff may be required to lift an empty wheelchair weighing up to 50 lbs.), 10-15 lbs. on a daily basis
+ Weekly carrying up to 55 lbs. approximately 10-100 ft., 10-15 lbs. on a daily basis
+ Manual dexterity is required, including the frequent ability to grasp in both hands and continuous use of fine manipulation skills in both hands (approximately 1-2.5 hrs.)
+ Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, gases or chemicals is apparent
+ Protective clothing or equipment as required: close toed shoes; protective shields, universal precaution PPE, and gloves for toileting and food preparation
+ Ability to change positions as needed
$63,746 Minimum pay rate, $100,000 Maximum pay rate, based on experience.
