Employee Relations Advisor

The Employee Relations Advisor acts as the primary point of contact for managers and team members to resolve workplace conflicts. Provides advice and counsel to managers and team members in the areas of performance management and the organization’s employment-related policies. Ensures compliance with employment regulations, investigates and recommends solutions to complaints of harassment, discrimination, workplace aggression, or other reported issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Advise managers and team members who seek advice on workplace-related matters. Collaborate with managers on performance deficiencies or behavior of team members that is inconsistent with CRH expectations and provide guidance on appropriate corrective action. Create and maintain templates for corrective action for use by leaders in routine situations. Review corrective action documents prepared by leaders and recommend edits as needed. Assist in the creation, modification, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures that foster an engaging and inclusive work environment. Assess training and development needs toward improving work performance of team members. Conduct investigations, recommend corrective actions, and/or changes to current practices leading to team member disengagement. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations, accreditation standards, and internal company policies and procedures. Perform periodic audits of HR Files maintained for accreditation and participates in file reviews. Respond to unemployment claims and provide support to managers for unemployment hearings and appeals. Participate in the creation and modification of training programs for targeted audiences and make presentations to educate leaders about employment regulations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related area. Candidates with an Associate’s level degree will be considered with an additional 2 years of experience as defined below. Candidates with no college degree will be considered with an additional 4 years of experience as defined below.

 

Experience: Requires a solid foundation of experience gained through a minimum of 3 years working in employee relations. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams/Sharepoint, and Outlook is required. Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, Position Manager, Kronos, UKG, and/or employee health tools preferred.
