Employee Relations Consultant

The Employee Relations Consultant is deployed via the HR Operations team to manage and investigate highly sensitive Employee Relations issues, including but not limited to cases of sexual harassment, discrimination, and fraudulent behavior. Serves as the primary investigator on any matter involving any member of the Senior Leadership Team which includes all Vice Presidents and above. Manages all anonymous complaints received through the Team Member Hotline, collaborating closely with the Human Resources Business Partners and the Legal and Compliance teams to ensure thorough investigations and adherence to organizational and regulatory standards. 

Employee Relations Consultant Job Responsibilities 

Investigates highly sensitive team member relations issues, including sexual harassment, discrimination, fraudulent behavior, and other escalated matters, ensuring a prompt, thorough, and objective process. Manages anonymous complaints and inquiries received through the hotline, conducting follow-up investigations and partnering with appropriate internal resources. Collaborates closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure proper handling of investigations, documentation, and resolution in line with company policies and applicable laws. Provides guidance and support to the Senior Leadership Team (VPs and above) on team member relations issues, helping to mediate and resolve disputes where needed. Develops and maintains strong partnerships with HR leaders, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure consistent application of team member relations practices and legal compliance. Assists in the development and delivery of training programs related to team member relations, compliance, and workplace conduct. Manages special projects and assignments from HR senior leadership as needed, ensuring timely completion and reporting.


Employee Relations Consultant Minimum Requirements 

5 years of experience in employee relations, including experience investigating complex cases such as harassment, discrimination, and fraud Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Employee Relations Consultant Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of employment laws and healthcare-specific regulations (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc) Strong mediation and conflict resolution skills, particularly in high-stress healthcare environments. High level of confidentiality, ethical decision-making, and integrity in handling sensitive employee matters. Proficiency in HRIS systems, case management tools, and data analytics Strong analytical skills for interpreting policies, trends, and employee data
