GDIT's Employee Relations Team has an opening for an Employee Relations Partner. In this role, you will be a key contributor to a world-class center of excellence team within our Human Resources division.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Provides guidance, support and counsel to employees at all levels within the organization on defined employee relations issues, escalating as appropriateSupports workforce reduction planningPrepares WARN analysisConducts investigations of staff reductions resulting in layoff, client removals, and employee complaints and disputes, documents findings and recommends disciplinary action and/or appropriate resolutionEffectively partner with other departments during investigations to include legal, HR, accommodations, payroll and benefitsAssists managers in preparing for employee conversations, the preparation of notifications and corrective actions documents, and prepares and coordinates off-boarding paperwork and related activities for involuntary separationsCollaborates with HR leadership to facilitate activities to positively enhance the GDIT employee experience, and contribute to proactively addressing ER issues before they occurAssists with basic internal audits of employee relations issues such as employee turnover, hiring, transfer and promotion practices, and selections for layoff to identify trends or situations that may require training, counseling, or other actionProvides detailed case documentation and employee profile information to Corporate Legal and/or outside counsel, and participates in deposition proceedings as directedWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of related HR experience; OR in lieu of degree, 6 years of related experience requiredWorkforce reduction planning experienceExperience in the area of conducting workplace investigationsHR experience in a federal contracting environment Skilled in basic HR and employment law principlesExperience with conducting interviews that result in critical fact gatheringExperience interacting with all levels of employees on employee relations issuesExperience consulting on multiple employee relations issues that vary in scope and complexityAbility to manage a high volume of employee relations casesHighly refined written and verbal communication skillsStrong conflict resolution skillsAbility to work effectively in a virtual team environmentAbility to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee informationSuperior analytical and problem solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and virtual tools such as Zoom/Skype/MSTeamsPreferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish OCONUS / expatriate work experience preferredLocation: Remote
