Position OverviewAs a Senior Specialist in Employee Relations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization’s policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently. You will also foster company culture and enhance employee engagement through various initiatives. With a high degree of independence, you will plan, conduct, and document thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and allegations. This involves gathering relevant information, interviewing involved parties, and reviewing pertinent documents and records. You will ensure that all investigations comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies. You will advise on labor relations issues, collaborating with business partners to interpret and address inquiries on employment law and company policies. We are seeking a candidate with over 5 years of experience in Employee Relations.

LocationThis position is based at our Corporate Office, located at 1550 Mike Fahey St, Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities Advise, guide, and support HR Managers, Corporate HR, and legal departments on employee relations matters. Document, investigate, and resolve employee-related issues and concerns effectively. Conduct investigations into employment-related complaints and potential violations, including interviewing involved parties to gather information and corroborate accounts. Consult and interpret policies, ensuring their dissemination, interpretation, and application. Handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Develop effective relationships across the organization to foster good employee relations. Promote inclusion and employee engagement through various activities and programs. Attend meetings and seminars to stay updated on employee compliance and related laws; monitor trends and provide appropriate advice to the organization.Qualifications Over 5 years of experience in Employee Relations. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Demonstrated expertise in researching, analyzing, interpreting, and applying complex policies and procedures, including federal and state employment regulations. Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment, while handling challenging situations and meeting deadlines. Willingness to travel up to 30%, sometimes on short notice. Proficiency in maintaining complex databases and using technology to create efficiencies; advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Cultural competency to work effectively within a diverse team. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to understand and follow instructions, including safety protocols. Availability to work standard hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) at the designated location. Effective communication with all levels of management while handling a diversified workload. Ability to present effectively to groups. Regular, reliable attendance and ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, bending, standing, stooping, walking, talking, and listening.
