Employee Relations Specialist

Position Responsibilities:

Consultation: 

Review, advise and provide support as appropriate, on employee demotions and terminations to ensure compliance with laws, policies, procedures, and standard management practices.Provide credible advice, guidance, and professional support with respect to interpretation and application of employee relations and associated policies, practices, procedures to HR Business Partner, HR Business Consultants, and Recruiting ConsultantsProvide direct assistance to people leaders as appropriate, in the resolution of individual workplace disputes, including mediation.

Facilitation: 

Review, amend and publish company and HR internal management guidelines, processes and policies related to Employee Relations on a regular basis – (in China, publish the policy include the staff representative meeting,publicity, employees sign off)Responsible for low performance management, work with People Leader and HRP to implement PIPManage the formal complaint process including documentation for harassment, discrimination, ethical and conflict of interest complaints/issues and any others of a highly sensitive natureClosely monitor/track and ensure that policies, process, practices, and decisions are aligned and compliant with applicable local legislation--- (Reminder for ER related:exit,labor contract renew,probation period )Responsible for Employee Related communication and activities (e.g. Monthly HR communication email, quarterly Support function roundtable, and other people care tasks)---- ER activities(support function roundtable,human dynamic activities,other people care activities,)Responsible for Employee Related file audit on a regular basisSupport the implementation of ER related global/local HR projects and management, such as Salesforce case Management, quarterly involuntary termination report, ER Monthly MeetingProvide appropriate support during large-scale interventions (e.g. trauma, business continuity)Coordinate Occupational Health and Safety related work, (e.g. Work-injury)Dept. Record Specialist role to maintain Employee Related info/articles on a regular basis to ensure compliance with global and local policy requirementsProject Management: Suggest, lead and initiate process improvement in Employee Relations programs and processes and other HR related processes that would benefit HR/ER and its internal clients 

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of bachelor’s degree preferably in Social Science and Behavior, Human Resource Management or Law (preferred but not required);At least 6 years of experience in the area of Employee Relations or HR Business Partner covering ER functions;At least 3 years of relevant work experience any of the following: IT/BPO, Finance and Insurance, shared services in a multi-national or global company;Fluent or comfortable in English language both written and oral;Experience in Workday and Salesforce (preferred but not required)

Preferred Qualifications:

Well-versed in local labor law interpretation and transfer to actions;Ability to interact effectively with different teams and stakeholders in the organization;Skilled in managing difficult conversations through mediation or negotiations as well as facilitating arbitration;Organized, keen on details, values quality work output and demonstrates integrity at work;
