**Employee Relations Specialist Sr** The Employee Relations Specialist Sr is responsible for managing and enhancing the employee experience within the organization by fostering positive employee relations and a collaborative work environment. This role involves addressing employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. This job requires extensive experience in employee relations, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to promote a positive workplace culture. **Key Responsibilities and Duties** + Support and Guidance: - Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on employee relations issues, policies, and procedures. - Provide guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution to minimize risk and the negative impact of individual employee grievances or collective labor disputes. Provide advice and counsel on company policies and employee rights including a wide range of employee relations issues including progressive counseling, performance management, company policies and procedures, Title VII, ADA & ADAAA, ADEA, harassment/discrimination, and retaliation. + Conflict Resolution and Investigations: - Investigate complaints and grievances including alleged discrimination, harassment and/or retaliation under the various employment laws, conducting thorough and impartial investigations. Mediate conflicts between management employees and facilitate resolution through effective communication and negotiation. + Policy Development and Implementation: - Assist in the development, implementation and review of employee relations policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices. - Communicate changes in policies and procedures to employees and management effectively. Monitors legislative updates and changes to case laws to ensure organizational compliance and to assess any impacts on the organization's policies and practices. + Training and Development: - Develop and provide training and coaching for managers and employees on employee relations topics, conflict resolution, and performance management. - Foster a culture of open communication and continuous feedback. + Data Analysis and Reporting: - Analyze employee relations trends and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement to recommend solutions and develop strategies. - Prepare reports on employee relations issues, investigations, and resolutions for senior management. + Compliance and Risk: - Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies related to employee relations. - Stay updated on changes in employment law and industry trends to provide informed guidance. - Provide risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to employee relations issues and collaborate with internal partners within Compliance, Risk, and Internal Investigations. Assists with audits and assessments to ensure ongoing improvement and compliance. + Collaboration: - Work closely with HR team members, management, and legal counsel to address complex employee relations issues and responding to letters from attorneys representing employees and/or former employees. Investigates and prepares responses to EEOC charges. Collaborate on initiatives to improve workplace culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion. + Special Projects: - Lead or participate in special projects related to employee engagement, morale, motivation and satisfaction, retention, and workplace culture. - Act as a change agent to drive positive organizational changes.
