Employee Site Assistant Supervisor
Job Descriptions: Position Summary: Under the direction of the Site Supervisor, the Business Solutions Offsite Assistant Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the management and daily operations of the employment site, and in the absence of the Site Supervisor fulfilling the duties assigned to the Site Supervisor. Purpose The employment site team is responsible for assembling kits, labeling, counting, packaging, stacking, and receiving medical supplies. Cleaning and other basic warehouse duties are included. The supplies are then used to fulfill orders to stock hospitals as needed. Applicants must be willing to be cross trained in other basic warehouse duties and other areas of the warehouse. The environment is typically a heated, but non-air-conditioned warehouse setting. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: + While assisting and in the absence of the Site Supervisor, he / she fulfills the duties assigned to the Site Supervisor including: + Acts as a working Supervisor assisting workers performing tasks. + Attends department meetings and training sessions as required + Provides excellent customer service to the customer + Ensure prompt and thorough communication as required + Conducts work with a sense of urgency and hustle + Sets up workflow and priorities + Ensures payroll entries are correct + Supervises, trains and monitors the progress of employees. + Monitors monthly billing when required. + Monitors and record employees’ quantity and quality of work. + Trains in specific job duties on site as well as in soft skills needed to work in the community (hygiene, supervisor & co-worker relations, punctuality, etc.). + Serves as a liaison between Customer and Tommy Nobis Center. + Maintains daily operation for Customer site and establishes rapport with management. + Maintains a good attendance record. + Ensures daily participant attendance is recorded in ADP and productivity is tracked. + Have a working knowledge of budget and contract procedures. + Full working knowledge of customer’s order system and ensure work is distributed to fulfill customer needs. Education: + Associate’s degree in Rehabilitation Services, Psychology, Social Work, Education or related degree preferred. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable. Prior Experience Desirable: + Two years of experience in working and training persons with disabilities. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. + Ability to drive motor vehicles. + Functional computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, etc.) + Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications, and driver’s license. + Experience in training and supervisory of individuals with disabilities, and experience with DOL standards. + Must pass drug screen and background check. + Must have a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). + Eligibility to work in the United States. Other Qualifications or Requirements: Mental Effort: + Ability to perform the day-to-day tasks required to maintain the operations of the community site. Physical Requirements: + Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time; ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds without assistance. + Have a full range of motion in upper and lower body. + Be able to reach overhead. + Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time. + Good hand dexterity. + Good eyesight. Visual Effort: + Well-lit office, community site, and or production floor (heated/non-air conditioned). Safety: + Follows all prescribed safety regulations to diminish accidents. + Understanding of OSHA safety requirements. + Knowledge of evacuation procedures and the whereabouts of exits and fire extinguishers. + Immediately report circumstances you consider may present a hazard to yourself and/or others. + Report any accident whether minor or major.
