Collaborates directly with campus partners and stakeholders to develop programs and services to meet the needs of employees. Works to deliver reliable outcomes and provide impact to drive the overall health improvement of employees. **Responsibilities** 1. Program Development + Development and continued iteration of targeted, evidence-based wellness programs and services to address the evolving needs of the University of Utah employee population. + Need to understand underlying factors and drivers for specific health conditions and the associated financial, environmental, and social impacts. 2. Program Implementation + Strategic and collaborative implementation of programs and services across the University of Utah to provide equitable access to employees of all levels and job types. + Understand stakeholder investment in desired outcomes and curate programs and services to deliver desired outcomes while delivering tangible value to employees. 3. Program Evaluation + Proactive and continued evaluation of the success and outcomes of targeted evidence-based programs and services to ensure programs are having desired impact, retaining the highest quality, and delivering on stated goals for both employees and University of Utah stakeholders. + Reports on program performance metrics to stakeholders on a monthly basis as requested. + Engage in continuous improvement process with all programs and services. + Engage with rapid data-backed iteration and innovation. 4. Management of Stakeholder Relationships + Engages with University of Utah stakeholders including but not limited to Human Resources groups, population health partners, staff/employee councils, advisory committees, development and outreach committees, + Participates on workgroups, advisory councils/committees as possible. 5. Policies and Procedures + Responsible for development and implementation of applicable policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of programs and smooth delivery of services to end consumer. 6. Marketing and Communication + Working with MarCom representative the Employee Wellness Manager will oversee all marketing and communication materials and campaigns including: i. Development of collateral materials ii. Ensuring monthly newsletter content is delivered to Marcom in time for formatting and distribution iii. Coordinating focus of marketing on a monthly schedule to highlight programs and services in time to ensure participation remains at desired levels iv. Responsible for final copy editing (In partnership with Director of Whole Person Health) + Responsible for outreach and promotion of programs and services to external and internal partners and departments to encourage participation. + Will coordinate efforts to provide informational presentations to campus leaders to educate and inform managers and leaders about resources available to employees. 7. Educational Material Development + Support the larger Osher Center for Integrative Health team with development of educational materials on general well-being topics + Manage website resources, ensure materials stay up to date and relevant to needs of employees. 8. Culture of Wellness Programming + Manage all existing programs that support culture of wellbeing on the University of Utah including: i. Wellness Presentations ii. Wellness Walks iii. Well-being book club iv. Wellness Ambassador Program v. Wellness Challenges vi. Well Office Certification vii. Wellness Seed Grants 9. Strategy + In partnership with Director of Whole Person Health, develops strategy for employee wellness program in alignment with the overall Osher Center for Integrative Health strategy, while advocating for and incorporating the needs and goals of University of Utah employees and stakeholders. 10. Management of Staff and Students + Responsible for all human resources aspects of management for direct reports. (hiring, celebration, coaching, discipline, termination) + Manages day to day management task including approval of timecards, tracking and approving time off requests, scheduling, etc. 11. Training and Development of Staff and Students + Trains all staff and student employees to deliver programs and services at the highest possible standard of care. Focus on meeting the needs of the employee while delivery the best possible customer experience and creating an experience where all employees feel seen, heard, respected, and valued. + Performs regular reviews with staff and students to ensure performance meets expected standards and to provide opportunity for positive feedback and coaching as needed. 12. Employee Satisfaction Accountability + Ensures employee satisfaction with all targeted evidence-based wellness programs and services by staying informed of complaints and concerns, addressing needs promptly and reviewing recurring issues to find suitable remedies in a timely manner. 13. Budget Management + Manages day to day budgeting and expense tracking/reporting for Employee Wellness Program in partnership with Director of Administration. + Forecasts budget needs and manages program accordingly to ensure financial performance and excellent stewardship of resources. **Problem Solving** Successful candidate will need to be able to iterate on ideas quickly to address changing needs and priorities of University of Utah senior leadership to meet needs of employees’ health and well-being. Often provides list of alternatives and sometimes recommends or changes policy and procedures based upon amount of discretion given by department. Problems would be referred to superior based upon predetermined guidelines set by the department. **Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required** Nearly Continuously: Office environment. **Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required** Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required. Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations. **Preferences** + 4 years of experience collaborating with medical provider teams in primary care, behavioral health, physical therapy, etc. + Understanding of standard clinical care process models. + Previous experience working in clinical healthcare setting. + Minimum of 4 years of experience leading teams in a wellness or healthcare-related role. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees. + Knowledge of Whole Person Health principles and practices. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity Redcap Database program * Experience working in a higher education setting. + Bilingual or multilingual abilities. **Type** Benefited Staff **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
