A highly regarded legal team is seeking a junior associate (1-2 years of experience) to join its Employment & Labor practice in the Reston, VA, or Washington, DC offices. This role focuses on employment counseling, compliance, and transactional support within a fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities: Advise clients on employment laws, regulatory compliance, and workplace policies Draft and negotiate executive employment and separation agreements Provide counsel on the employment aspects of M&A transactions Assist with litigation matters and affirmative action planning as needed Work collaboratively within a dynamic team to support client needs Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in employment counseling, compliance, or transactional work Strong understanding of employment agreements and regulatory requirements Litigation and/or affirmative action planning experience is a plus Excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills Strong academic credentials from a recognized law school Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary ($225,000 - $235,000) based on experience and location Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans Generous paid time off, parental leave, and professional development opportunities
