Position Summary:
Center for Family Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Employment Coach for our Displaced Home Makers Workforce Development program. The program is designed to assist individuals who have lost their primary source of income due to divorce, separation, death, or disability of a spouse, and who must obtain or upgrade their skills for transition into the paid job market. The ReStart Program provides participants with life skills curriculum focused on job readiness and tailored to areas that employers have identified as most important. The Employment Coach will deliver career readiness skills training through individual counseling sessions and group facilitation workshops; as well as provide career placement assistance to prepare participants for today's job market. The Employment Coach will help participants identify possible career paths and develop and improve their professional soft skills, as well as connect participants to job openings and career opportunities by developing relationships with local employers. This position works closely with internal and external partners and employers and will serve approximately 90 participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Create lesson plans and teach three (3) 40-hour computer classes per grant year per county: beginner, intermediate and advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookCreate and deliver six (6) job series workshops per grant year per county, including but not limited to: Resume Creation, The Job Search Process, Interviewing Skills, Dress for the Interview and Get the Job/Keep the JobKnowledge and or experience with classroom management techniques. Work with clients one-on-one to develop employment goalsMaintain statistics in Microsoft Excel for all workshops to meet grant requirementsEnter required information in State of New Jersey databasesCreate and maintain relationships with supportive agencies throughout countyProvide case management to clients and provide follow-up services to participantsAdvertise workshops through Center for Family Services, supportive agencies, and social mediaDevelop handouts for all workshops and trainingsIdentify and address employment barriersOutreach/Recruitment through participation in community eventsCoordinate life skills workshops and occasional job fairsWork closely with internal CFS staff and partners to provide seamless services to participantsDisplay employment/post-secondary advancement opportunities on job boardOther duties as requiredRequirements:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in related field.Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems. Microsoft Office Specialist certification a plusExperience in a social service setting preferredCase Management experienceAbility to maintain a leadership role with the participants to motivate and influence positive behaviors.Excellent verbal and written skillsExperience in developing new Employer relationships to work with the program population.Current driver's license & a good driving record of 3 years.Vehicle with current insurance and registration.Many positions require motor vehicle record evaluations and medical clearances.Benefits:
