Job Description

Who You’ll Work With

Arista Networks is seeking an Employment Counsel to join its Global Legal Team.  The Employment Counsel will provide legal counsel and advice to HR and business partners on a variety of employment law matters, manage and resolve outside disputes and litigation, and support the Company’s employment law compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions.  This position will report to Arista’s Senior Employment Counsel.

What You’ll Do

Serve as a legal point of contact for Arista’s worldwide HR team and business leaders, providing advice on a wide range of legal mattersManage employee disputes and litigation with or without the assistance of outside counsel, depending on the circumstancesDraft and negotiate employment-related agreementsReview and develop employment policies and procedures worldwideDevelop and conduct employee training worldwideConduct internal investigations on a broad range of employment and non-employment mattersDevelop and support the employment law function for the Arista legal team

QualificationsAttorney/JD with admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction5+ years of employment law experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal departmentDeep knowledge and understanding of global employment laws, preferably including EMEA and/or APAC employment lawsSignificant experience advising clients on compliance with employment laws and all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring, performance management, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and terminationsSignificant experience with employment litigation, including discovery, strategy, and coordination with outside counselExperience drafting and reviewing employment documents, including employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and codes of conductStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to distill complex legal issues into practical business adviceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-function teamsPrior in-house counsel experience preferredExperience with internal workplace or compliance investigations preferred
