Manage and oversee the Group’s UK and global employment tax related risk and compliance obligations
Key Responsibilities:
Summary of the Role
As the Employment Tax Senior Manager, you’ll be the lead role for employment tax matters across Sage globally, reporting to the Head of Tax. You’ll partner with HR, share schemes, payroll, finance and senior stakeholders to support business initiatives, manage compliance and support tax governance. Your role is key in navigating complex tax regulations, optimizing costs and communicating employment tax considerations.
What I Will Be Doing
You’ll provide support on employment tax matters while managing relationships with internal teams and external advisors. You’ll lead the employment tax function and work with the team to oversee tax return filings, ensure employment tax is properly addressed in M&A projects, advise on business initiatives and oversee tax processes. Projects and processes cover a wide range of activities, from share schemes tax to reviewing remote working. You’ll also monitor regulatory changes and help stakeholders understand tax strategy and compliance requirements.
What We Are Looking For
We need someone with strong expertise in employment tax. You should be comfortable advising senior stakeholders, managing tax reporting, and working on M&A due diligence. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly are essential.
