The EMT Security Specialist is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, safety, and security of assets, property, team members, clients and all visitors at all United Wholesale Mortgage locations.
This EMT Security Specialist will use various telecommunications devices to call for assistance from fire fighters, police forces, and emergency medical services. They will provide general emergency care for team members and respond to medical emergencies.
The EMT Security Specialist will also interview witnesses or victims to prepare case reports and testify in court if necessary.
This position requires on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Administers prescribed first-aid treatment at site of emergency or in specially equipped vehicle according to established medical protocolsObtains information from persons involved, examines victims and determines nature, extent, or magnitude of illness or injury to establish emergency medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistanceProvide any needed assistance to customers, team members and visitorsPerform security patrols by foot and/or by company vehicleThe protection of individuals and their property while controlling access to premisesNeutralize situations calmly with tact and common senseWatch for safety and protect property from fire hazards, trespassing, and other security related situationsInvestigate and take the appropriate lawful action as authorized by the Corporate Security Leader on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fireAll other job duties as assigned including Training WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUMust Have Qualifications:
Valid, Active EMT licenseHigh School Diploma2-3 years of recent EMT experience Meet physical needs of the jobMeet all legal requirements to be able to work in the United StatesMust demonstrate good moral fitness and ethical standardsEffective verbal and nonverbal communicationMake independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and proceduresMust be detailed oriented and have satisfactory literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilitiesHave no disqualifying criminal history or convictionsBe able to work alone responsibly and without supervision Completed the training requirements for an unarmed security officer in Michigan or have law enforcement experienceMust have working knowledge of Excel, Word and OutlookMay be standing for long periods of timeMeet minimum requirements set by insurer to drive a company vehicle:No moving traffic violations in the past 3 years No at fault accidents in the past 5 yearsHave not had driver's license denied, suspended or revoked in the last 3 yearsNo driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUI) convictions in the past 5 yearsAbility to work either a 5am-2pm or 1pm-10pm shiftMonday through Friday hours, however, may be required to work nights, days, holidays and weekends.This position requires on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI.
