Description: **ABOUT THE ROLE** This position is primarily responsible for safely and efficiently hauling materials from one designated area to another. **WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING** + Communicates clearly with personnel at load and unload areas; + Maintains safe speed and observes all plant traffic controls; + Conducts pre-trip safety inspection of vehicle, and reports any concerns or unsafe conditions to immediate Supervisor, including near misses and any other areas where safety may be improved; + At Holcim US, SAFETY IS TRULY THE FIRST PRIORITY IN ALL THINGS! + Ensures wheels are properly chocked or otherwise secured; + Make certain that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed at all times; + Attends and participates in all mandatory plant meetings to include safety, environmental, and compliance; + Performs maintenance activities to ensure haul truck is maintained to the required standard and assist with other plant maintenance activities as required including site housekeeping or cleanup activities; + A clean work area is a safe work area. + Other duties as assigned. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR + Required Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; + Ability to read, write, and speak the English language + Subtraction, addition, and simple division and multiplication. + Valid Class A CDL;Clean driving record; + Minimum one (1) year of professional experience; + Must pass DOT drug test, and obtain and retain DOT medical card. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. + Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment, including but not limited to respirators.
