About the Role
Responsible for the resolution of end-user computing IT related service requests. The Engineer investigates diagnoses & resolves the service requests. The engineer was also responsible to track and monitor the task assign to the team on the incident and request to ensure the TAT can be meet. Depending on the nature of an individual request, the Technical Support Engineer works independently or in co-operation with subject matter experts within IT or vendor teams.End User
Investigate, diagnose & resolution of service requests. Troubleshoots PC software and hardware failuresHandling service requests - Move, Add, Change of hardware & softwareEnsure that hardware & software are installed according to ING Standard Policy & GuidelinesMonitor the status and the progress of the assigned requests. Ensure service requests are resolved within SLAClosure of service requests in Service DeskTechnical support for PCs.Troubleshoot & resolve problems encountered by the agentsSupport for Blackberry. iPhone & iPad for specific Staffs.Desktop incident and Request Management
Assist the Desktop Manager to monitor and track the day to day operation of the service requests and incident to ensure service requests are attended according to SLA.Assist and provide guidance to the team mate to resolved issues and problem as well.Project execution
Performing desktop software migration and upgrade (XP to window 7, McAfee safeboot, etc).Security Management
Patch deployment. Ensure that PCs/notebooks have up-to-date patches. Manual deployment of patch for those failed to patch equipmentMaintain an asset inventory list for the floors/branches under his supervision. Any administration for desktop and printer. (Purchasing and assessment)Antivirus for the desktop was up-to-date.Desktop OS was according to the company security standard.
