Essential FunctionsAssists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support thestrategic plan and vision of the organization.Supervises staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and overseesproper working order and/or stock supplies.Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff,physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.Job duties to include but not limited to below list:Finalizes cases daily for billingPrepares and ensures correct information for charge report, bill only reports, maintains log.Staff when census is high or when neededAssume charge nurse roleQuality and patient satisfaction rounding6. Resource nurseAssist director with payrollAssist director with quality dashboardAssist with survey readinessFacilitate and monitor employee/student onboarding and orientation.Covers staff call and director call when needed.

Job RequirementsMinimum EducationAssociates Degree - RequiredBachelors Degree - PreferredKY Nursing License or equivalentKentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure requiredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - within 30 days of hirePediatric Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (PALS) - within 30 days of hire
