Job Description:

The SPD/Endoscopy Technician is an individual with decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection knowledge and abilities, who provides a continuum of sterile and high-level disinfected instrumentation and endoscopes to the surgical services team and other in-house departments as needed. By supporting the nursing and OR/Endo Tech staff, and aiding in the coordination of care, the Endo/SPD Technician assists in the fulfillment of the department mission to provide quality surgical/endoscopy care.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED

One year of prior experience required, or on the job training can be completed in lieu of experience.

Endo Tech Certification required within 9 months of hire

SPD Tech (HSPA) certification required within 2 years of hire

BCLS required within 90 days of hire
