Inova Outpatient Endocrinologist – Physician
Our five Endocrinology practices have a team of 21 APP and Physician providers located across Northern Virginia and provide comprehensive outpatient management of all endocrine disorders. Inpatient Endocrinology services are provided both in-person and virtually by a dedicated team of providers.

Job Description:
Completes initial assessment and evaluation of new patients and provides ongoing monitoring of patient's medical condition and provides treatment. Reports to Physician Supervisor. Orders prescription medications and diagnostic procedures and authorizes and coordinates all specialty and ancillary services. Participates in the development of such programs as preventive health screening, immunization program, professional community outreach, quality assurance, etc. Participates in wide range of clinical research projects and studies. Participates in multidisciplinary team activities, including case conferences, etc. Provides inservice staff development and clinical teaching of trainees rotating through Medical practice.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (5 hours protected admin time)
Call Schedule: 1 wk/3 mos
Support: Clinical support for each provider (RNs, LPNs)

Requirements:
Education: Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathic degree from an accredited institution AND Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology Experience: Successful completion of an ACGME physician residency program, Fellowship completion in Endocrinology Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia and Virginia DEA Credentialing: Ability to be credentialed by the Inova Health System as an associate member of the Medical Staff with clinical privileges in Internal Medicine
