The opportunity The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 9-Friday, August 8, 2025. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week. The Endocrine Clinic is an outpatient/ambulatory setting. Patients attend medical, nurse, nutrition, and social work appointments for a variety of endocrine diagnosis including diabetes. What you’ll do The college COACH Intern would be an upper-level nursing major who has completed a medical-surgical clinical rotation or is a certified nursing assistant. This Intern would assist with: + Vital signs POCT (fingersticks to assess HgbA1C) + Download diabetes technology and room patients. + Opportunity to shadow the nurses to watch teaching sessions. + Position is Fully on-site What you’ll get + The intern would strengthen their patient care and communication skills. + Increase their knowledge of ambulatory nursing as a career. + Have an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of endocrine medicine. Who you are + You are an undergraduate college student interested in working in healthcare. + Ability to perform vital signs. + CPR certified. + Completion of a college clinical rotation that required taking vital signs.
