Endo Tech - Endoscopy

40 Hours Weekly, Full Time, Dayshift

Job Summary:

The Endoscopy Technician is under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or doctor; an endoscopy technician performs activities concerned preparation, assistance and cleanup for endoscopy procedures or examinations of patient

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job.  He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.

1.  Provides basic physical care

2.  Maintains a safe environment for the patient according to policy and procedures

3.  Demonstrates role accountability to the unit and the nursing department

4.  Performs and documents appropriate procedures according to hospital policy and procedure. Such as (but not limited to):

5.  Demonstrates proficiency in specific unit skills.

Requirements:

BCLS required within 90 days of hire

Prior Endoscopy experience preferred
