University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks a Endovascular Neurosurgeon (multiple openings) in Harrisburg, PA to provide treatment/procedures such as thrombolytic therapy, blood clot retrieval, endovascular coiling, cerebral angiography, carotid artery angioplasty and stenting, and minimally-invasive spine surgery, to patients to treat brain and nerve issues. Endovascular surgery differs from standard surgery in that endovascular (meaning “inside a blood vessel”) surgery is performed through thin tubes (i.e. catheters) and small tools, and far less invasive compared to standard surgeries that use large incisions to enter surgical sites; perform neurosurgical consultative services in the hospital, as well as for outpatients.
