Endpoint Security Engineer II

Position Purpose:

Performs as a subject matter expert in one or more of the endpoint security systems. Analyzes, streamlines, and automates operational tasks and processes to protect the organization's endpoint and end user computes systems against adversaries as well as helps build endpoint security systems and solutions. Defines endpoint security standards as well as implements and maintains technologies to measure conformance against endpoint security standards. Implements, configures, and maintains endpoint security tools and technologies.

Designs and implement cybersecurity rules for endpoint components such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, and gatewaysProvides engineering and operational support for endpoint protection from malicious threats and cyberattacksAutomates routine operational endpoint security tasks and processes and identifies potential end user security threats/risks and take necessary steps to mitigate themConfigures and troubleshoot endpoint security tools and technologies like managed antivirus software, web filtering, data loss prevention, and network access controlResearches, recommends and introduces best in class industry standard endpoint security technologies by collaborating with development teams and other subject matter expertsCollaborates with key stakeholders to advocate on endpoint infrastructure security and contribute in projects to implement endpoint security standardsConfigures antivirus and exclusion policies for endpoints based on recommendationsDocuments standard operating procedures related to endpoint security and governanceContributes to developing enterprise solutions with respect to developing endpoint security controls and methods to mitigate security risksSupports the design, implementation, and configuration of endpoint security architecture, software, and controlsPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 2 – 4 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

One or more of the following skills are desired:Experience with endpoint technologies such as CrowdStrike, MS Defender, and CAASM (Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management)Experience with AWS and AzureBasic knowledge of network troubleshooting


Soft Skills:

Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialtyIntermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsIntermediate - Ability to work independently


License/Certification:

CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP, or Cloud Foundations preferred

Pay Range: $72,400.00 - $130,100.00 per year
