The NASA IT portfolio within the Federal Civilian IT sector at Leidos currently has an opening for an Endpoint Systems Administrator. This is primarily a telework position, but the ideal candidate will reside within reasonable commute distance to a NASA operating center and have flexibility to go on-site when needed for specific activities. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the NASA End-User Services and Technologies (NEST) mission. In this mission, we serve as an agile, trusted partner to transform, integrate, simplify, modernize, and safeguard NASA IT systems and data. And, above all else, continuously enhance the end-user experience. **Primary Responsibilities:** The NEST Enterprise Operations Systems Team is responsible for centralized configuration and management of all NEST devices. This team owns and operates Microsoft Configuration Manager, Jamf Pro, Red Hat Satellite and Microsoft Intune for the purpose of deploying and managing PC’s and mobile devices provided through the NEST contract. The Enterprise Operations Systems Team is also an engineering-level escalation point for the NEST service desk team, as the service desk team works to resolve customer incidents. As a member of the Enterprise Operations Systems Team, the Endpoint Systems Administrator role is responsible for triaging and initial troubleshooting of all escalation requests from the NEST service desk team. The Endpoint Systems Administrator escalates issues they cannot resolve to engineers and within the team, or directly to vendor support teams. The NEST contract provides a variety of devices for end-user computing, and the Endpoint Systems Administrator will need to be familiar with all of the operating systems in use, including: Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Apple iOS, Apple iPadOS, and Google Android. Candidates for this role must have ability to create basic scripts using PowerShell for things like software installation and configuration. Ideal candidates will also have Bash scripting abilities. **Key functions of the Endpoint Systems Administrator role include:** • Receive and respond to support escalation requests for all platforms. • Engage system engineers and other system administrators for additional support as needed. • Engage external vendor support teams as needed. • Develop and execute test plans for endpoint hardware, software, and operating systems. • Create knowledge articles to assist NEST technicians and end users in resolving common issues • Assist in creation of software deployment packages. • Develop scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch, Bash) to automate installation and configuration of applications and operating systems. • Assist system engineers with the operation and maintenance of client management tools. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that prevent clients from installing operating system and software updates. • Participate in project teams to implement new services and service enhancements on the NEST innovation roadmap. • Resolve incidents and fulfill requests in alignment with established program processes and in a timeframe that meets or exceeds SLA requirements for incident handling, request fulfillment and service availability (uptime). • Prepare process documentation and provide process training to NEST technicians and other relevant audiences. • Keep clear, detailed, and accurate records of work performed within tracking tools such ServiceNow and Costpoint. **Basic Qualifications:** • Public Trust or other security clearance is preferred, ability to obtain public trust is required. • Bachelors degree with 2 years relevant experience, or 5 years relevant experience if no degree. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical subjects in an effective way to audiences with a differing levels technical expertise. • Experience configuring and deploying Windows, macOS, and Red Hat Linux systems • Strong knowledge of NEST-managed operating systems (Windows, macOS, RHEL, iOS, iPadOS, Android) • Understanding of the Windows registry system • Knowledge of scripting languages used for system automation, including PowerShell, VBScript, Batch and Bash • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a telework environment while maintaining healthy communication with peers, leadership, customers, vendors and project stakeholders. • Reliable internet connection for telework • Suitable workspace that is conducive for focusing on complex work assignments and participating in online video meetings. **Preferred Qualifications:** • ITIL Foundation certification • Previous experience with NASA in a technical support role • A current certification in a relevant field or technology. • Experience deploying software, operating systems, and/or updates using Microsoft Configuration Manager. • Experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux clients • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) **Original Posting:** May 2, 2025 For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above. **Pay Range:** Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
