What You Will Do:

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Content, the Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure and State & Local Government (ES&I / SLG) Content Lead will develop and manage integrated content strategies aimed at generating brand awareness, engagement, and quality leads to fill ES&I / SLG’s sales pipe. They will collaborate directly with the Director of Enterprise Content and the Director of ES&I / SLG Marketing as well as segment, sales, and corporate leaders and experts to support strategic content marketing efforts, including by managing, developing, and editing content, and collaborating with marketing colleagues to publish content via social media, newsletters, media buys, and earned media.

The ES&I / SLG Content Lead will also manage messaging and publishing calendars for earned, sponsored, and self-published content in alignment with the enterprise content strategy as well as lead generation, sales, and digital marketing team members. This role is unique in that this professional will align with all levels of marketing and sales to ensure messages are consistent and content is developed, promoted, and leveraged across a range of channels, including via blogs, case studies, sponsored content, ads, newsletters, webinars, sales, e-marketing, media, etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Writing and editing blogs, case studies, press releases, opinion pieces, white papers, drip emails, advertisements, website copy, sponsored content, services slicks, and social media posts.

Collaborating with ES&I / SLG marketing colleagues on social media content as well as ES&I / SLG Insights campaigns and newsletters.

Working collaboratively with and supporting marketing colleagues across segments and sectors.

Collaborating on content marketing KPI roll up report outs, including digital engagement, relevant marketing acquired and qualified leads, and additional pipeline development.

Monthly presentations to ES&I / SLG’s Editorial board and ongoing internal communications to support professionals and teams in leveraging content.

Offering strategic, innovative ideas to support the development, execution, delivery, and measurement of content across all external communications channels.


What You Will Need:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Four (4) years additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 

Six (6)+ years of ES&I / SLG marketing and communications experience.

A passion for or experience in ES&I / SLG writing.

Previous experience at consulting firms or ES&I / SLG organizations is a plus.

Agile marketing experience.

Previous content marketing experience and demonstrated success with lead gen programs.

Outstanding writing skills, with the ability to adapt communications to different audiences.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with various levels of management.

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where innovation and collaboration are necessary, and accountability is expected.

The ability to work effectively under pressure and make decisions independently.

Demonstrated project management skills.

Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience with Google analytics and social media and media publishing/monitoring/analytics solutions.

Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

The ES&I / SLG Content Lead is expected to be an excellent writer, communicator, marketer, and project manager who understands the full spectrum of content development and dissemination and can manage multiple projects/campaigns at a time. Experience in ES&I / SLG and managing thought leadership campaigns is a plus, as this role will support targeted campaigns for multiple audiences, including utilities, energy providers, and government agencies in the US (federal and state) and Europe.

The annual salary range for this position is $115,200.00-$172,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
