Job Summary
Supports the Energy Efficiency budgeting process, projections, variance reports and other standard or ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Assists with oversight of all Energy Efficiency Consumer Programs for regulatory compliance rules and annual filings for AEP Texas. Provides support of related planning, budgeting and reporting applications including billing/allocation processes and compliance with all state Commission rules.Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
With oversight and review by more experienced Coordinators or a manager: Helps complete monthly/annual reports for state compliance and regulatory filings. Prepares monthly/quarterly variance reports, provide analysis, and ensure targets meet regulatory rules. Helps ensure AEP Texas Energy Efficiency portfolio standards are supported and meets commission and corporate requirements. Collaborate with external stakeholder groups to promote and support AEP Texas Energy Efficiency interests. Coordinate with corporate Procurement department to develop request for proposal (RFP) schedules for Energy Efficiency Coordinators and implementer contract oversight. Assists in the development and improvement of standardized processes surrounding budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and improvement requisitions.Provides assistance in regulatory proceedings related to financial matters including information for data requests, developing revenue requirements, special studies for Commissions, etc.Helps oversee portfolio and measure level benefit-cost analysis process. Maintains technical reference manual (TRM).MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, building science or related field.
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience in the utility industry with exhibited technical competence.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in the areas of budgets, reporting, and benefit cost analyses. Proficiency in financial management. Proficiency and comfort working in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. Excellent verbal and written skills, public speaking and strong interpersonal skills.Prior experience in a functional Business Unit, Corporate Finance, Operating Company finance, and/or engineering related field is desired.Knowledge/utilization of UI Budgets, PeopleSoft, and Business Objects relational database reporting desired. This position requires coordination with Operating Company finance, regulatory, requiring the incumbent to work across functional boundaries.Familiarity with AEP accounting and use of Chart fields desired.Compensation Data
