Resource Innovations is on the lookout for an Energy Efficiency Project Engineer to enhance our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. We invite a highly talented and enthusiastic Project Engineer with a robust engineering background and a fervor for energy efficiency to join us. In this role, you will collaborate with customers to roll out energy-saving initiatives—think lighting upgrades, HVAC improvements, advanced refrigeration, compressed air, and process equipment systems. Your mission will be to quantify and articulate project savings, assist with project execution, and confirm successful installations. This position is crucial to our efforts in advancing energy efficiency programs across Northern Illinois.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support energy efficiency program design activities related to expansion of existing programs and development of new programs Identifying and quantifying energy efficiency measures Assist contractors and customers to select appropriate energy efficiency equipment that would qualify for equipment rebates from the utility Maintain the highest level of quality control for deliverables, demonstrating technical excellence, objectivity, and clarity while maintaining and advancing projects Mentor and train junior engineers on various energy efficiency fundamentals and technologies Establish and maintain a professional client rapport, including identifying and anticipating client needs and proposing solutions. Conduct site visits to verify installation and operation of replacement energy efficient equipment Support measurement and verification tasks including the installations of field monitoring equipment to establish energy usage patterns Solicit feedback, advocate change, and implement solutions Other duties as assigned.
