**Job Overview:**
APTIM is looking for a motivated and engaged Energy Efficiency Engineer Intern to join the Energy Transition team in Madison, WI. Working with the Engineering team, this role will be responsible for providing technical support to utility customers, trade allies and program partners. In this role, the candidate will provide energy advice and technical services for the Entergy Transition programs. APTIM serves as the Program Administrator and implementer for various energy efficiency, emobility and HOMES/HEAR programs across the country. APTIM is responsible for designing and managing program operations; measuring, tracking, and reporting results; marketing, outreach, and community engagement; and providing engineering and technical resources.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Work with commercial and industrial electric customers to identify energy efficiency and demand reduction opportunities within energy efficiency programs.
+ Engage directly with customers to build awareness and drive participation in the program.
+ Identify and provide documentation of on-site opportunities for reducing energy and demand and provide follow-up as required to the customers.
+ Assist customers with enrolling in applicable program offerings.
+ Discuss technical elements of energy consuming equipment in residential, commercial & Industrial facilities (lighting, HVAC, hot water systems, envelope, integrated design, building automation systems, process, motors, ventilation, compressed air, and other equipment) and how it affects utility consumption and demand, to help prioritize recommendations and achieve goals.
+ Analyze customer utility bills for energy consumption and peak demand charges.
+ Keep current on the latest energy-saving technology to provide program measure suggestions when appropriate.
+ Utilize program spreadsheets and databases to calculate energy savings for customers, engage with trade allies and contractors as needed.
+ All other related duties as assigned.
+ Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Attending an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in Engineering.
+ Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA with at least 60 hours of coursework completed
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Must have experience with MS Office software, including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
+ Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
+ Able to work effectively and professionally in a both a team and autonomously.
+ Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and the broader organization
+ Detail-oriented with excellent time management, project management, and follow-through.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
+ Advanced written and oral communication skills.
**Desired/Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 1+ years' experience in the energy efficiency industry preferred.
+ Understanding of energy efficiency technologies and energy-saving solutions including, lighting, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
