Job Description

AECOM is seeking for an experienced Energy Market Sector Lead to be based out of Bogota/Colombia. 

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assess Energy market in LATAM, with emphasis in Colombia, to bring the clients and opportunities for potential bookings, with focus in the early engagementIn collaboration with the global business line, senior leadership, develop and own the long-term vision for sustained growth of AECOM’s Energy business in the Colombia market, with special emphasis on Renewable and Green EnergyOversee the capture process for key pursuits in Energy to ensure best practices are being adhered to, and continuously improve capture resultsEvaluate Energy opportunities and determine which to pursue based on client understanding, pre-positioning, alignment with overall growth strategy, and AECOM strategic positionOversee the client account management program for key clients in Energy to ensure active managementHelp build a strong and thriving culture in the Energy practice that promotes equity, diversity, & inclusion, ESG, and innovation, while preserving technical excellence in our core competencyEnsures unflinching customer focus. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep customer insight, ensure a client driven culture, spearhead and support market-focused solutionsCollaborate with senior leadership team in the LATAM Environmental Business Line on driving strategic growth initiatives throughout the region in the Energy practice. (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Sustainability, Digital, and others)Collaborate with local leadership across the LATAM and organize commercial engagement activities and be responsible for budgeting and tracking business development and commercial spendBe responsible for holding regular Energy Market business development meetings with all relevant stakeholders and ensuring frequent and regular communicationPotential to be project manager and principal on key projects in the Energy marketTrack potential client project needs and capital planning programs throughout Colombia.Coordinate with internal resources and other business lines to promote overall market sector growth with our local clientsCoordinate with LATAM Delivery / Operations teams to ensure delivery processes are in place to produce the desired results at a project execution levelCoordinate with PMs to drive and support program and project results on a day to day basis, to meet technical and business objectives.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in the Energy sector or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Demonstrated experience and networking in Renewable and Green Energy projects (Solar, Eolic, blue Hydrogen, Green Hydrogen, etc.), both related to technical and project financeDemonstrated experience in Net Zero, Carbon Capture and other ESG strategies.Fully Bilingual in English/Spanish.

12+ years of relevant experience in the Energy sector.National and International experience in energy projects.Experience with National and international developers.Experience in business development, and strong existing relationships with Energy clients in Colombia.Strong understanding of best practices in business development for professional services.Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Ability to communicate problems clearly and simply to clients, leadership, and technical staff.Ability to balance various project and company responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and quality.
