As a Sales Representative/Energy Marketer at ATCOenergy, reporting to the Sales Manager, Business Sales, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets associated with business customer acquisition and margin through a customer-centric, consultative sales approach within Alberta's deregulated retail electricity and natural gas market.

Developing Sales Strategy: Leveraging ATCO’s strong brand presence in Alberta, you will make valuable contributions to ATCOenergy's overall sales strategy by, focusing on the acquisition of new natural gas and electricity customers within the small business, commercial, and light industrial sectors. Provide market insights to leadership based on knowledge so the company is better positioned to support your success.
Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain customer and prospect relationships based on energy assessments, and successfully delivering on their service requirements. Cultivate and nurture positive customer engagement and collaborate with other ATCO business lines to add value for our customers and our company.
Sales Strategy Implementation: Execute the organization's sales process/strategy in your assigned territory, seeking new opportunities through prospecting and referrals. Networking and represent ATCOenergy at various events and presentations.
Commercial Agreements: Grow your sales, knowledge and customer relationship skills to meet specific sales targets for volume, margin, and term. Negotiate and close gas and electricity contracts within set parameters for small and medium businesses.

Developing effective sales strategies and closing sales You are a planner who is committed to execution Communication and sales, both in-person and over the telephone Reflection to identify what works and the adjustments that can improve results Asking questions, listening, and crafting sales solutions creating tailored to individual customer needsWhat you have:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy marketing or B2B sales A sales/marketing diploma or similar educational background is an asset. Experience in the deregulated Alberta competitive retail energy market is an asset A sound business acumen and a truly professional approach. A strong personal drive to achieve sales targets and a hunter mindset Excellence in following sound sales processes to identify leads, gain referrals, handle objections, and close sales High degree of self-motivation and time management skills Extreme focus on customer service and ensuring customer contract details are accurate. A team-oriented approach and desire to collaborate and share with colleagues Ability to communicate complex topics, such as industry and market intelligence, to customers in a simplified manner Proficiency utilizing CRM’s (Salesforce a definite asset). Ability to support the organization’s direct marketing activities at tradeshows and customer events.
