Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

Compensation: $36.00 - $36.00 per hour

Skookum is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Energy Monitoring & Control Systems Operator with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Performs routine maintenance on boiler equipment and systems.

Supports energy conservation, safety and comfort objectives by monitoring, operating, controlling, calibrating and scheduling mechanical and electrical building control systems.

Remotely recognizes problems in facilities by monitoring controls for temperature and equipment alarms.

Troubleshoots systems by researching and evaluating conditions, advising supervisor and recommending actions.

Supports energy conservation, safety and comfort objectives by monitoring, operating, controlling, calibrating and scheduling mechanical and electrical building control systems.

Maintains EMCS operator systems by implementing preventive maintenance programs and schedules.

Responds to service calls during non-business hours by determining urgency and promptly notifying and/or dispatching the appropriate personnel.

Responds to alarms and emergency situations by following proper notification and dispatch procedures involving fire, safety and security, as well as mechanical, electrical or utility system failures.

Controls access to facilities by recording distribution, tracking and return of temporarily issued building keys.

Produces reports by collecting, manipulating and correlating various operating, maintenance, utility usage or other data.

Assist Quality control and SSHO departments with training and inspections as needed

Must wear PPE as required.

Additional general maintenance tasks as assigned.

All Other Duties As Assigned

Qualifications: 

High school/GED Required

Minimum of 3 years of HVAC or similar experience preferred.

HVAC/SCADA/EMCS certifications preferred

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis. 

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance.

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
