Job Description

There is a part-time job available for a community member with the Northern First Nations Home Retrofit Program (NFNHRP). This job would be great for someone who enjoys connecting with other community members, is handy with tools, and is interested in helping community members reduce energy usage and increase comfort in their homes.

Job duties:

Participate in a multi-day training courseCoordinate home visits with program participantsConduct a home energy assessmentInstall new energy-efficient products (e.g., LED light bulbs, shower heads, faucet aerators, power bars, hot water tank insulation wrap, etc.)Manage inventory of products shipped into the communityShare knowledge with participants on how they can save energy to reduce their energy costs and increase the comfort of their homesRemove old products for disposal and recyclingAttend weekly virtual check-in meetings with the Program Manager (based in Saskatoon)

Qualifications:

Drivers License with transportation within the local communityA strong interest in energy conservation is an assetCompetency with using applications on a smart phone deviceOrganized and adaptable to new situations and projectsA friendly and professional manner with a positive attitudeDetail-oriented, punctual, conscientious, reliable, and able to work independently
