What You’ll Be Doing
Cadmus seeks a Senior Analyst to join its Market Research and Customer Insights team. The successful candidate is expected to manage and conduct primary and secondary research on behalf of Cadmus’ energy clients (primarily utilities and administrators of energy efficiency programs). You will be responsible for managing project tasks, executing market research and analysis, and creating written and visual reports on the findings. This role will include research to evaluate existing energy efficiency and electrification programs to identify improvements, and to support the design of future programs.
Candidates should have professional experience in program evaluation, social science research methods, program design, and/or energy efficiency or sustainability. The candidate will be highly motivated to perform and learn, be able to work collaboratively and independently, manage assigned tasks and projects from start to finish with minimal input from supervisors, and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for candidates with strong market or social science research skills who have demonstrated experience analyzing complex qualitative and quantitative data sets to draw conclusions and develop recommendations, preferably with knowledge of energy efficiency or related programs.

Responsibilities Support and lead market research, program planning, and evaluation tasksSupport project management activities including budget tracking, invoicing, project planning, and resource managementDevelop high-quality data collection instruments, including interview guides and surveysConduct phone interviews and manage online surveys with utility program staff, program participants, contractors, and other market actorsAnalyze program, survey, interview, and other data to identify trends, synthesize research findings, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations for client considerationActively and professionally communicate and coordinate with project teams, managers and clients, in varying time zones; provide clear and consistent communications (oral and written) on projects and tasks and raise any concerns or issuesDevelop clear, detailed reports and presentations of results, findings, methodologies, data sources, and actionable recommendations Ensure all deliverables meet Cadmus’ standards and exceed client expectations Qualifications Between 5-7 years of experience managing or supporting research or evaluation projects that include both qualitative and quantitative techniquesUndergraduate or graduate degree in business, the social sciences, economics, or a related field; a master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of professional experienceIndustry experience in energy efficiency, utilities, program evaluationExperience designing and conducting social science research, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and/or literature reviewsStrong critical thinking and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional organizational and time management skillsStrong attention to detailProficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelPreferred:
Prior consulting or client-oriented work experienceExperience leading discrete tasks and full projects, specifically research projectsBusiness development (including proposal management and response) experienceExperience using research platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, FocusVision, DeDoose, etc.)Demonstrated analytical skills using statistical and analytical tools (e.g., Python, SAS, R, Excel)Additional Information:

The minimum starting salary for this position is $70,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
