You and your job
RaboResearch employs approximately 170 analysts globally, covering a broad range of topics from the global economy to various food sectors and the energy transition. RaboResearch is looking for an Energy Transition Specialist to support Rabobank’s ambitions to be the leading energy transition bank. The Energy Transition Specialist will complement Rabobank’s rapid expansion into this space, and support both clients and the bank in their energy transition journey. The Energy Transition Specialist will lead a variety of research projects with the aim of generating insights that make a difference. In this role you can develop yourself broadly in the different fields of the energy transition. Your specific journey will depend on your skills, interests, existing expertise, and the strategic direction of Rabobank. Topics you might be working on could for example be linked to offshore wind, CCS, green gas or solar energy at a European level or for specific countries. For your designated research themes, you will identify major trends, key risks and challenges for our clients, and spot solutions and opportunities. You will develop an understanding of how business models will be impacted from policies and regulations and the current geopolitical context.

You and your talent
You have a Master’s degree or a PhD in a relevant field like environmental science, climate economy, or electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering You have proven expertise in one or more topics related to the complex world of the energy transition or a demonstrated interest in becoming an expert in this field You will be operating in an international, complex, and demanding environment with multiple stakeholders. Flexibility, self-discipline and motivation, and a co-operative and proactive attitude will be key for success in this role You possess a rare combination of analytical and quantitative skills, creativity, and storytelling You are an excellent communicator, both in writing and in presenting You are skilled in developing pragmatic solutions in a complex context You have the ambition and ability to learn fast; a growth mindset is crucial for this role You have strong language skills: excellence in English is a requirement while other language skills, including Dutch, are an advantage A network with relevant private and public institutions is an advantage

The recruitment process for successful candidates will consist of three rounds. The first two will be online interviews while the third round will be an on-site presentation to key internal stakeholders. Round 3 will require preparing the presentation and a brief written assignment in advance
