This role sits within the EDMA Product Solution Team, which has the strategic ownership and responsibility to work collaboratively across business and technology, to evolve the enterprise vision, objectives, priorities, and anticipated benefits for GBTG data capabilities. The Engagement Manager will play an active part in both defining and delivering future data, analytics and insights needs in support of a diverse range of stakeholders and will have the opportunity to facilitate the advancement of GBTG’s data solutions. The position requires a blend of strategic and multidimensional thinking, strong communication skills, and a passion to influence how our products and technical capabilities are perceived in the industry.
We are looking for a strong candidate who will play a fundamental role in the support of traveler care analytics and the support of critical enterprise projects and initiatives. The Engagement Manager will also need an overall understanding of general business processes and commercial perspectives, in coordination with knowledge of our technology vision, direction and architecture.
What You´ll Do on a Typical Day:
Manage end to end initiatives from business engagement through platform technology deployments for Traveler Care Analytics.Coordinate between GBT internal business stakeholders and technology partners to understand complex business needs, data requirements and then translate business value statements into technical specifications and capabilities.Strategically plan and coordinate across platforms, businesses, and channels to ensure internal sequencing, and then translate requirements into effective data content usable in reporting, visualization, and actionable insights.Interact with technology partners and business stakeholders and users through concise and accurate communications.Coordinate robust end-to-end user acceptance.Ensure the journey offerings remain innovative and keep pace with changing conditions.Actively lead efforts to secure yearly funding and spend approval.Use the stakeholder and customer experience ecosystem to maintain focus on end-to-end outcomes.Anticipate stakeholder needs through an awareness of the latest market insight, pivoting as needed.Help build collaborative and dynamic teams focused on the stakeholder / customerManage senior-level communications and ensure visibility of the work effort.What We´re Looking For:
5+ years experience with traveler care data capabilities / business intelligence / management information.3+ years experience in the travel industry is preferred.Familiarity with design and development of data flows, schemas and ETL processes will be a plus.Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and focus on quality.Aptitude to solve complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate and influence across a fast-paced and dynamic environment to achieve results, often progressing multiple competing priorities.Highly organized with ability to keep projects moving forward and run from start to finish.Must be results driven, taking the lead with little supervision as well as working closely with fellow team members in a small team.Ability to work against tight deadlines with colleagues across the world while maintaining the ability to be adaptive and agile and pivot as needed.MUST be ready to work during overlap hours with global teams.
