Capgemini seeks an outstanding Engagement Manager for its engineering team in Hercules, CA. You'll work on ambitious projects and collaborate with a diverse team.
Key responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with clients, Capgemini global teams, and team members at client sites to ensure smooth project execution, acceptance, and closure of actions/requests.
Communicate development strategies and plans to both Capgemini and client management.
Monitor project health and quality through project management tools (JIRA) and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Maintain a strong understanding of project financials, articulating risks, and developing related mitigation plans.
Report project status to Capgemini and client management teams through regular status reviews.
Track actions identified in status reviews to closure.
Lead teams across multiple sites, ensuring alignment and successful implementation of project goals.
Collaborate with the account executive/sales function to identify and secure new opportunities and contracts.
Work closely with client teams to ensure clarity regarding scope and risks for contracts (SOWs).
Foster strong collaboration with remote offshore teams, understanding their culture and expectations.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in STEM or a related field.
10-14 years of proven experience managing cross-functional teams, particularly in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and related engineering fields.
5 years of Technical Program Management experience, with the ability to support and empower teams with technical skills.
Experience collaborating with various teams, including client teams and Capgemini teams across multiple locations.
Ability to understand and explain various software systems, technical challenges, dependencies, and risks.
Proficiency in project monitoring through project management tools such as JIRA.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
