**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **Field Service Heavy Diesel Mechanic** to join our high performing field service team in Tamworth. The **Gunnedah Basin** mining region is home to over **170 Cummins High Horsepower engines** , powering a range of mining equipment. And you could be the first responder to fix and repair these engines. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + First responder to breakdown events + Fleet maintenance + Capturing engine data + Fault diagnostics + Diverse range engine repairs, both major and minor + Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment + Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) + The face of Cummins at the customer site` **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Field service experience preferred coupled with heavy duty engine experience + Relevant trade qualification (Heavy Diesel preferred but not necessary) + Strong engine diagnostic experience + The ability to work autonomously/remotely for extended periods + A genuine commitment to workplace safety + A valid driver’s license + Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills **_At Cummins, we are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
