Our Engine Field Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, repairing and rebuilding diesel and compression gas engines in the field to provide an excellent customer experience.

 

Hourly Base Rate: $24.79 - $55.00 / hour

Job duties:

Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on engines as well as diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustmentMust be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as neededPerform required DOT inspections to ensure service truck is in proper, safe working orderCreate a work environment that is considerate of the customer’s needsTravel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations

Our Ideal Candidate:

Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulicsExperience with all makes and models of engine rebuilds General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instrumentsMust be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, schematics, line diagrams and other related publications.Ability to drive and valid license required with ability to obtain Class A CDL

Experience with diesel and natural gas compression engines (Specifically CAT engines)Stable work historyClass A CDLComfortable operating various types of equipment and implements, diagnostic tooling, various shop hand and electric tools and overhead hoists/cranesAbility to foster positive relationships internally and externally
