As an Engine Painter, you will oversee painting operations, troubleshoot paint applications, install engine accessories, and ensure safety and quality standards are met while supporting assembly and production tasks.
What We Offer: Third Shift | 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM | Sunday through Wednesday Health Benefits 401k Rewards Program Opportunity for Advancement Sign-on bonus What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or GED required Ability to follow standardized work instructions (SWI) in accordance with organizational procedures Experience in mechanical painting Ability to lift and carry items weighing between 26-50 lbs What You’ll Do as an Engine Painter: Monitor painting operations to identify and correct flaws (e.g., orange peel, dry spray, and runs) to ensure adherence to MTU standards Troubleshoot paint applications and accurately match or detect color differences, including shades and brightness Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and paint pots using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths Spray prepared surfaces with primer and/or topcoat finish coatings Dispose of hazardous waste from the paint process following MTU specifications Install engine accessories according to the engine build book Use electronic torque wrenches to install accessories on engines Mask surfaces using tape, foil, bags, or pre-cut stickers to protect them during painting, following MTU standards Position and align components for painting using hoists Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area in compliance with departmental housekeeping standards Provide training to personnel in line with the departmental training matrix Assist with special projects as needed and support assembly and other production areas Foster a compliance-driven culture and uphold the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
