Engine Re-Manufacturing Program Manager

In this position… 

This position is for an Engine Remanufacturing Engineering Program Manager with FCSD consumer service organization.  You will manage the engineering requirements and other deliverables necessary to achieve PPAP complete for remanufacturing powertrain programs in the cycle plan as well as leading the resolution of technical change requests received via SREA.

You'll have... 

Minimum

Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field Minimum of 1 years of experience in powertrain, engine, or driveline technologies through hobbies, clubs, course work, or work activities

Even better, if you have …

Preferred 

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related degree Powertrain component or combustion engine hands-on, club, or DRE experience Base engine testing or mechanic experience Base engine Sub-system design & development Design for manufacture Experience with Ford internal PD systems (GPDS, FEDE, WERS, AIMS, SREA, Teamcenter, Etc.) and MS Office Applications Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership ability, able to interact effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders Must be willing and able to travel to supplier and Ford manufacturing sites, 10%

What you'll do… 

Work with Product Category Management to determine priority programs and timing required Manage the engineering requirements and other deliverables necessary to achieve PPAP complete for the powertrain programs in the PCM cycle plan. Build, manage, and maintain the engine BOM for reman engines Manage the BOM and its development using excel, WERS, CMMS, etc as necessary Follow new engine programs with PD keeping reman timelines coordinated Hold PD accountable for Service and Reman related deliverables to timelines Manage components reman requirements as directed by PD for warranty and as decided by reman for retail Work with appropriate engineering resources to develop ES as required Provide engineering support for Service Parts Warranty, Core disposition, Material Cost Savings, Total Value Management (TVM) and Complexity Reduction initiatives. Provide support to ensure all engineering requirements are included as part of the RFQ process. Review Supplier Request for Approval (SREA) requests in a timely manner. Support joint Product Development and FCSD initiatives. Major interface: Product Category Management, Purchasing, Product Development, Engine suppliers, Components Suppliers
