BAE Systems is looking for an Engine Systems Business Area Leader in Engine Systems to work in our Fort Wayne, Indiana facility and provide operational input to overall Fort Wayne business strategy. In this role you will:
+ Contribute fully to annual operations planning for the business
+ Operationalize strategy with 3-to-5-year vision, specific to area of work
+ Understand, evaluate and critique quarterly financial plan inputs
+ Support customer growth opportunities
+ Develop and maintain effective customer relationships that give credibility to operations
+ Understand and address customer concerns timeously and appropriately
+ Decide and/or collaborate on decisions regarding outsourcing versus vertical integration direction
+ Maintain a team that is structured and staffed correctly
+ Coach and mentor team members
+ Drive collaboration within team and with other teams
+ Proactively support initiatives relating to design and process compliance and improvements
+ Develop and present effective communication and presentations for customer and business level engagement

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline with relevant experience leading technical manufacturing and 5-10 years of experience
+ Demonstrated experience leading diverse, multi-discipline teams in a high tempo environment
+ Expertise applying project management skills and techniques including: stakeholder management, team-building, critical decision making, cost analysis, risk mitigation and opportunity realization
+ Leadership experience in manufacturing
+ Strong presentation, data analysis and organizational skills
+ Experience and strong knowledge in Lean - Sigma manufacturing principles
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Master s degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline and 10-15 years of demonstrated experience leading teams in a high tempo, aerospace electronics production environment
+ Experience in developing Design for Manufacturing standards
+ Leadership experience within supply chain environment
+ Strong foundation in the Operations function
+ Experience with the development and manufacture of safety / flight critical electronics
+ Master s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant field
+ 6 Sigma Black Belt
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
