Engine Verification Lead

ENM chief engineering organisation is responsible for all the powertrain development within Scania and has a major responsibility in Traton group to ensure the ICE (Internal Combustion Engines) road map for all Brands within the group. We initiate and lead the development projects for all the engine platforms to enhance our product offering and create more value for our customers. The teams work actively to balance the properties and are responsible for the quality assurance, time plan and verification of each engine platform.Each Chief Engineer (manager) has a team with core members with different responsibility areas. Assistant chief engineer, Performance group leader, Engine Verification leader, Performance object managers and Layout engineer. 

Your Role

As Engine Verification lead you lead your project within the platform jointly with highly experienced core team members and cross functions. You will be responsible for quality assurance and validation of complete engine platform. The role will give you a wide contact network in the organisation and require leadership skills working through others.
 

Lead and align verification and validation of complete engine (i.e. functional / climate/ durability/performance/vehicle installation) Set and follow up verification plan based on project risk analysis Identify testing opportunities and balance test needs Create and maintain the durability requirement documentations for engine development and your assigned project Collect and ensure test need for all generations needed to reach the project targets and acceptance criteria. Retaining the prototype engines needed to reach project targets (build and test) Manage the durability testing in test cell Plan and ensure test resources are available Lead development of test methods and keep them updated Participate in improving test processes with other key functions Ensure correct performance during test by Analyse engine data

Your Profile

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering. Have experience in 5 -10 year of experience within R&D. You have a driven nature and should have the ability to structure your own work as well as lead others. You are also a team player with the ability to interact well with others and key stakeholders. A major portion of our work is carried out in collaboration with international partners so you should have effective communication skills and be able to express yourself both verbally and in writing in both English and Swedish. This role is perfect when you like to develop your leadership skills and lead technical development.
