Engine Workshop Technician - Level I

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: + Apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. + Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components. + Assist with the completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens. + Complete training in line with skill and business requirements to enhance your technical skills and knowledge. + Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation, ensuring a safe and organized workspace. + Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues/incidents to the supervisor promptly. **RESPONSIBILITIES** We are looking for a talented **Mechanical Technician – Heavy Diesel** to join our team in **Wetherill Park, Sydney.** **Key Responsibilities:** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products + Diagnose and repair various engines + Engine rebuilding and reconditioning **Experience:** + Minimal level of workshop experience required + Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Australian recognised Trade certificate (Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel or Plant) + Previous repairs and maintenance experience with On Highway Truck, Mining, Construction or Agriculture applications is desirable but not essential + Cummins, VOLVO, Kenworth, Hitachi, Komatsu & Liebherr experience highly desirable **_At Cummins, we are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
