Locations: Berlin, Connecticut; Manchester, New Hampshire

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineer to support compliance and process-related needs across our Substation and Line Engineering organizations. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Lead Engineer and Program Lead and will be required to communicate with all engineering disciplines (Substation, Protection & Controls, Transmission Lines); maintaining, modifying, and developing processes, procedures, controls, training, and reporting to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures and requirements. This role is crucial for the successful execution of substation design functions and meeting organizational objectives.

Essential Functions:

Work under the supervision of a Lead Engineer and Program Lead.

Serve as a 3-state Local Thermal Ratings Coordinator (LTRC) for all regions (CT/WMA, EMA, NH)

Conduct substation and transmission line thermal rating processes and help coordinate development of thermal ratings changes across engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with internal Eversource procedures and FAC-008 requirements.

Manage quality and accuracy of NX-9 submittals with design

Ensure and schedule activity compliance as needed to meet ISO PP7 submittal requirements.

Assist with maintaining, modifying, and/or developing engineering processes and procedures to ensure efficient and successful execution of internal Substation Design functions and proper coordination with external multi-discipline processes.

Support the Lead Engineer with enterprise-wide Substation Engineering technology and process improvement initiatives and engineering-funded capital project efforts.

Interface with regional Substation Engineering departments to implement and ensure compliance with engineering processes and procedures.

Assist the Lead Engineer with maintaining, modifying, developing, and implementing tools and processes to provide improved organizational performance, including reporting metrics, training modules, QA/QC processes, etc.

Assist with developing capital projects execution plan in coordination with Project Initiator, Project Manager and Engineering team

Perform storm duty and anyassistance with any other major system-related events as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Proficiency in using computer software and tools for engineering tasks.

Ability to write clearly and concisely.

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.  The salary range for this position is $94,730.00 to $105,250.00, plus incentive.  Salary is commensurate with your experience.  Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.

Working Conditions:

Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
