Continuous Improvement Engineer

 

If you have a background in Continuous Improvement and want to lead our efforts, we have the perfect role for you.   4Front is looking for a CI Engineer to develop, lead the implementation and ongoing improvement of our operational excellence program.  This role champions the continuous improvement programs using lean principles and six sigma methodologies that will eliminate waste, cut costs, and increase production and profitability.

 

 What you will be doing

Promote and drive continuous improvement.

Execute continuous improvement projects to increase productivity, improve quality, and maximize profitability. Challenge production leadership to create an action-based culture of continuous improvement and accountability to improve KPIs including growth, productivity, asset utilization, inventory reduction, and customer satisfaction. Educate, coach and mentor employees to engaged continuous improvement and drive operational excellence. Develop standard operating procedures and facilitate implementation.

 

Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing systems.

Coordinate the use of Lean Manufacturing processes, systems, and tools (5S, SMED, Kaizens, Kanban, Visual Management, etc.) to identify and eliminate waste and improve efficiency. Conduct Lean business assessments to develop short- and long-term action plans to ensure implementation and maintenance of the Lean manufacturing systems.                 Assist in the develop of performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of initiatives. Training team members on aspects relating to all aspects of Lean/Six Sigma.

 

What we are looking for

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing management, Engineering, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing operations environment. 2-3+ years "hands-on" experience leading improvement initiatives and applying Lean principles in a manufacturing environment with a record of delivering results and driving change. Experience in Value Stream/Process Mapping – Current, Future, and Ideal states a plus. Manufacturing – Experienced in make to stock, configured to order, and designed to order a plus.
