In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of mechanical components, systems, and equipment for both new and existing products. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and material selection, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Working under guidance, you will apply your technical expertise to create innovative solutions that meet performance, quality, and reliability standards. Responsibilities Design and evaluate innovative products and mechanical or electromechanical systems by conducting research and applying advanced principles of mechanics, heat transfer, and materials science. Confirm product and system capabilities through feasibility studies, rigorous testing methods, and performance analysis. Drive the creation of mechanical and electromechanical products by interpreting customer requirements, researching manufacturing and assembly techniques, and incorporating operator feedback. Ensure product reliability and compliance by designing robust testing protocols, validating system performance, and monitoring fabrication and assembly processes. Prepare detailed technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, trends, and insights. Provide expert engineering guidance by responding to inquiries and offering solutions to technical challenges. Uphold product integrity and company reputation by adhering to corporate, industry, and regulatory standards. Support project success by mentoring and guiding technicians throughout development and implementation phases. Contribute to team objectives and organizational goals by delivering results and driving innovation. Stay ahead of industry trends by attending workshops, reviewing technical publications, networking, and participating in professional societies. Qualifications Strong understanding of drafting standards, terminology, and symbols. Creative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to design and develop innovative mechanical components, systems, and equipment. Skilled in design, prototyping, and material selection evaluation. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drafting; SolidWorks preferred. Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and validation testing methods. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with PCB and electronics packaging design is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required. Minimum of 2 years professonal experience in mechanical design required. Experience with consumer product or electro-mechanical device design is a plus. Hands-on experience with mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes for high-volume automated production and manual assembly is a plus.
